Questions are part of getting ready.

Here are quick answers to the things families ask most. Our admissions team is always happy to talk through your Camper’s particular needs.

Why is the bald eagle Camp Frontier’s mascot?

Our bald eagle represents the spirit of Camp Frontier: adventure, courage, watchfulness, and growth. Its soaring flight reminds Campers to explore new frontiers and aim high. Young eagles receive care from their parents as they learn to fly and become independent—a fitting picture of children stretching their wings with caring adults nearby.

  • Adventure and courage: try something new, face challenges, and build confidence.
  • Watchfulness: stay aware of our surroundings and look out for one another.
  • Growth and perseverance: practice new skills and keep trying when something is difficult.
  • Independence with support: make choices, learn responsibility, and know that trusted adults are there to help.
  • Respect for nature and our traditions: the bald eagle connects our outdoor adventures with its place as an American symbol.

How do Campers choose activities?

Campers choose two morning activities for the week and two afternoon activities each day, along with evening and weekend programming.

What if this is my child’s first OverNight Camp?

Age-group staff, structured routines, welcoming lodge communities, and plenty of activity choice help first-time Campers settle in and connect.

Where do Campers live?

Campers live in air-conditioned lodge bunk rooms organized by age and birth gender, with trained staff living alongside them.

Can my child attend more than one session?

Yes. Families may choose one, two, three, five, or eight weeks, subject to age eligibility and availability.

How do families keep in touch?

Campers unplug for most of the week, with planned TechTime, printed Camper email, letters, packages, and photo updates helping families stay connected.
