Keeping in Touch During Camp

Learn how to communicate with your child at summer camp through Camp Frontier’s approved mail, email, photo, phone and urgent-contact procedures. These practices help families stay informed while preserving the healthy independence that makes OverNight Camp so valuable.

Simple ways for families and Campers to stay connected.

Send it to Camp

Camper Email

Families may email Camper@CampFrontier.com. Messages are printed for mail call; include the Camper’s name in the subject line so the message reaches the right Camper.

Printed for mail call

Cell Phones and Electronics

Campers do not carry cell phones or personal electronics during the week. Devices are collected for safekeeping and returned for planned TechTime.

Growing Through Independence

Time away from constant communication gives Campers room to rely on Counselors, join their lodge community, practice independence and build confidence.

TechTime and Phone Calls

Campers have planned TechTime twice each week—generally Wednesday and Saturday around dinner—for about 30 minutes. Campers call their parents first. Families may also text the Camper line at 1-888-CAMP-TXT (226-7898) to request an update on their child.
